You can create a drive to connect directly to FTP site without using any third party software in windows vista. This tips shows you the easy way to map a drive to ftp site in windows vista. This does not involve any registry tweaks.
1.Now open your 'explorer' in windows vista.
2.select 'computer' in explorer address bar.
3.Click on 'map network drive'
Next click on the 'add network location wizard'
then it appears as shown below in windows vista
Then select custom network location and specify the address of the network location or ftp site.
note: Uncheck 'logon anonymously and give username and password'.
